Easy Street Theater started in 2006 with a few theater workshops for special needs children. As we came closer to casting our first performance, we found that adults were more available and interested in the theater experience. Our performers range from 13 yrs. to 50+. Our buddies are adults, 18 yrs. and older.

     Our first performance was a 30 minute presentation of "The Frog Prince". We performed with a cast of 9 actors and 7 buddies. Our current cast numbers are 30+ special abilities actors and 20+ acting buddies. Theater experience is not required for the buddies.

     In 2016 we incorporated artistic classes into our program called Connections. For 6-8 weeks post high school adults have an opportunity to continue their education. Our classes are 1-2 days a week for 1-2 hours per class. Classes are different each session and may include Baking/Cooking, Sewing, Music Lessons, Art, Computer, Sign Language, etc.
