ABOUT

TOGETHER WE ARE BETTER THAN WE ARE APART

Easy Street Theater is a community theater for actors with special abilities and their acting buddies. All special needs actors are accompanied by an acting buddy during all rehearsals and performances. Each team works together to bring the character and the story line to the audience.

EST has an additional program called CONNECTIONS. It is an opportunity for post high school learners to continue learning with a learning buddy. Classes may include cooking/baking, sign-language, computer skills, music lessons, art lessons, horticulture, etc.

EST is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization that seeks to provide opportunities for special ability individuals to experience inclusion with the community.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Easy Street Theater is to provide social and artistic opportunities for all persons with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. Each activity is designed to explore and discover the creative gifts of all individuals, young and old, who choose to participate as a learner, teacher or administrator in this endeavor. The programs are intended to build personal growth and self-confidence in a nurturing and fun atmosphere.
